Fin MacDonald Bio
Manager, Zero Carbon Building Program – CaGBCFin started his career in green buildings and sustainability in 2012 after spending five years in the financial sector. Over the past six years he has delivered sustainability consulting services for various projects related to carbon accounting, energy benchmarking, and green building rating systems. As manager of the Zero Carbon Building Program at the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), Fin represents the CaGBC as a subject matter expert in zero carbon design and operations through ongoing dialog with stakeholders and the media. He is responsible for the broad adoption of the program and for driving reductions in the carbon footprint of buildings through collaboration with industry, governments, utilities, and other stakeholders.
Fin MacDonald has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from St. Francis Xavier University, and an Honors Diploma in Energy Sustainability Engineering Technology from the Nova Scotia Community College. He is a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists.
