Professor & Program Manager, Sustainable Energy & Building Technology at Humber College
Kerry Johnston is the academic manager of the Sustainable Energy and Building Technology Program at Humber College and has led the creation and development of its curriculum and industry connections since the program’s launch in 2008. Our unique program provides graduates with a portfolio of skills that support the transformation of the energy and environmental performance of existing and new buildings for a low carbon future. Additionally, graduates are prepared to support the design, construction and operation of renewable energy technologies.
Kerry is a professional land surveyor in the province of Ontario and, since joining Humber, has undertaken graduate study in education leadership at Central Michigan University. Kerry's academic interests include integrative approaches to learning, critical thinking, problem solving and how the concept of sustainability may support improved learning.
