On October 12, 2017, the Chapter welcomed 300 industry professionals to the Arcadian Court for its 8th annual gala event. The night kicked off with an elegant reception, followed by a sit-down dinner while guests saw the winners to the 2017 Innovation Awards revealed. The Innovation Awards were introduced in 2013 and recognize projects and individuals that demonstrate advancement in the green building industry in Southern Ontario. Click here to see the winners of the 2017 Innovation Awards.

Ian Jarvis, President, Enerlife Consulting. 

Ian Jarvis has been President of Enerlife Consulting since 2001, and is an authority in the fields of energy conservation and green building performance. He has pioneered the development of building performance analysis for nearly three decades. Ian has helped to initiate and currently co-chairs the working group of CivicAction’s Race to Reduce, a large-scale, collaborative program among landlords and tenants aiming to substantially improve the energy and environmental performance of office buildings. He is also a member of the National Advisory Council on Energy Efficiency, and an adjudicator of the annual NAIOP Real Estate Excellence Green Award for commercial buildings.

Ian served as founding chair of the Canada Green Building Council in 2003-2007, and as a director of Milton Hydro in 2000-2007. From 1992 till 1999 he was CEO of a leading energy performance contractor (ESCO), responsible for many of the largest energy retrofit projects in North America.
