The CaGBC Ontario Awards Night gala brings together more than 250 industry leaders and supporters in Toronto. The Green Building Excellence Awards recognize outstanding new projects and programs in Ontario which go above and beyond the normal scope of sustainable best practices. The Leadership Awards distinguish individuals that are advancing the green building industry in Ontario through innovation at the corporate, academic, and government levels. 2018 marks the gala’s ninth year!

MC & Keynote Eric Corey Freed, Sustainability Disrupter at Morrison Hershfield, and internally-renowned thought-leader on sustainability and innovative urban design. We are very excited to have Mr. Freed’s bold ideas and quick wit featured at the gala.
The Awards are now Ontario-wide! The 2018 Awards Night is co-hosted by CaGBC Ottawa Chapter, and award nominations are now open to projects, programs, and individuals across the Province.
Four new leadership awards that celebrate emerging and established individuals from industry, government, and academia.
Chapter Award winners are now entered as finalists at CaGBC’s Green Building Excellence and Leadership Awards, to be presented in Vancouver next spring.

Eric Corey Freed, RA, LEED Fellow, Sustainability Disruptor at Morrison Hershfield; Founding Principal at organicARCHITECT
Eric Corey Freed is an award-winning architect, author, and global speaker. As Sustainability Disruptor for Morrison Hershfield, he identifies solutions to problems most teams didn't know were holding them back. He was Founding Principal of organicARCHITECT, a visionary design leader in biophilic and regenerative design.
His past roles include Vice President of the International Living Future Institute and Chief Community Officer of EcoDistricts, both nonprofits pushing innovative new paradigms for deep green buildings and communities.
Eric is the author of 11 books, including "Green Building & Remodeling for Dummies.” In 2012, he was named one of the 25 "Best Green Architecture Firms" in the US, and one of the "Top 10 Most Influential Green Architects." In 2017, he was named one of Build's American Architecture Top 25. He holds a prestigious LEED Fellow award from the US Green Building Council.
