Ian Jarvis, President, Enerlife Consulting
Ian Jarvis is a respected Greater Toronto Area green building champion and leader. As President of Enerlife Consulting, Ian has an unrivalled understanding and focus on the energy performance of buildings. Ian's passion and years of experience help him drive buildings to achieve their best performance. His influence has transcended sectors and building types in the industry; Ian brings building management personnel, base building contractors and others to the table as a team and challenges them to collectively to find opportunities for improvement. Ian's efforts, through his work with Race to Reduce as Working Group Co-Chair; The Canada Green Building Council as founding Chair and Natural Resources Canada's National Advisory Council on Energy Efficiency, have helped to move green building management practices forward in the industry and for this, Ian is deserving of this year's Industry Leader Award. |

David Hoffman, General Manager, Toronto-Dominion Centre With over 10 years of experience in commercial real estate, David Hoffman has a broad perspective and hands-on experience in various property management and sustainability issues. In his current role as General Manager of the Toronto-Dominion Centre, David led the TD Centre in achieving LEED certification of all six office towers, securing its position as a frontrunner in the green building industry. With his guidance, David led the implementation of the TD Centre Green Council Occupant Engagement program; and introduced the first tenant LEED Commercial Interiors program to assist tenants to achieve LEED certification in their own office spaces. David has contributed extensively to sustainable building in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond and is truly deserving of the Industry Leader Award. |

Lachlan MacQuarrie, Vice President, Real Estate Management, Oxford Properties Group An engineer by trade, Lachlan MacQuarrie has over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. In his current role as Vice President of Real Estate Management at Oxford Properties Group, Lachlan has led the implementation of programs such as Sustainability Intelligence and focused on tenant engagement as a key topic in sustainable buildings. It is under his guidance and leadership that Oxford has been recognized in various sustainability forums. These include distinctions at the Excellence in Corporate Responsibility Awards, as well as ranking first in North American sustainability performance by the 2013 Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark survey. Lachlan is actively involved in the Commercial Building Energy Leadership Council of Race-to-Reduce. Lachlan’s tremendous contributions to the green building industry make him deserving of this year’s Industry Leader Award. |

Volunteer Award
WINNER
Nazia Tirmazi, Emerging Green Builder Committee Chair, CaGBC-GTC, Project Coordinator, City of Brampton Nazia Tirmazi’s involvement with the Chapter began in 2011 when she joined the Emerging Green Builders Committee. Within the local Committee she has worked to plan and lead various events, and contributes to the day-to-day operations. Nazia has also worked with the Chapter to create partnerships with various post secondary institutions. As an extension of her involvement with the local EGBs, Nazia also volunteers extensively with the National EGB Committee dating back to 2012. She has helped to develop a standardized Fee and Benefit Package for EGB committees across Canada, while working to increase membership for the organization. Nazia had an instrumental part in driving the EGBs to become the largest membership group within the Chapter and is a deserving candidate for this year’s Volunteer Award. |

Shane McCarthy, GPRO Advisory Council, GPRO Outreach Consultant & Master Trainer, CaGBC-GTC Training Specialist, Urban Green Council
Over his 40-year career, Shane McCarthy has provided expertise as a trade practitioner on a variety of construction and service projects and is a dedicated advocate for sustainability in the trades sector and beyond. Shane’s involvement with the Chapter first began in 2012 with participation in the original market research and became a founding member of the Chapter’s Advisory Council for the Green Professional Building Skills Training Program, GPRO. Shane concurrently holds the roles of GPRO Outreach Consultant and Master Trainer for the Chapter. He has donated hundreds of hours to bring GPRO to the Greater Toronto Area and the rest of Canada by making regular presentations at union training centres and to industry associations. Shane’s tireless work to bridge an industry previously unexplored and his contribution to sustainability education is truly deserving of the Volunteer Award.
